Our Approach

Root to Rise Therapy Collective was created out of a belief that healing happens when people feel safe enough to be fully themselves — in their bodies, their emotions, and their relationships. The practice is led by Poppy Haines, LMFT, BCBA, RYT-200, a licensed psychotherapist with extensive training in both evidence-based therapy and body-centered, nervous-system–informed approaches.

Poppy works with teens and adults navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma, and major life transitions. Her approach is integrative and relational, blending traditional psychotherapy with somatic and mindfulness-based practices to support emotional regulation, resilience, and deeper self-connection. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, she helps clients understand what’s happening beneath the surface — in their nervous systems, relationships, and lived experiences — so change can feel sustainable, not forced.

Clients often come to Root to Rise feeling stuck, disconnected, or worn down by life. Therapy here is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in real-world understanding of stress, caregiving, and modern life. The goal is not perfection or positivity, but greater steadiness, clarity, and the ability to move through life with more ease and self-trust.
